About screen saver function • A television monitor screen may be burned out if a static picture is displayed for a long time. To prevent this, the unit automatically activates the screen saver function if a static picture, such as an on-screen display or menu, is displayed for over 5 minutes.

    Resuming playback The unit can memorizes the position on a disc where you interrupt playback, and resume playback from that position later. There are two resume modes (DISC RESUME and ON) you can set on the preference display. See page 52 for details about how to set the resume mode.

For example, if a movie which includes violent scenes supports the parental lock feature, such scenes which you do not want to let children view can be cut or replaced with other scenes.
