    7-6. ABS time The ABS time is the elapsed time (absolute time) from the beginning of the tape. When recording is performed from the beginning of the tape, the ABS time is automatically recorded. ·When recording is performed from a point other than the beginning of the tape, ABS time is not recorded.

    Section 8 : Convenient functions 8-1. Rec muting When the REC MUTE key is pressed during recording, no signals are recorded for about 4 seconds and the Record- Pause mode is engaged. ·If the REC MUTE key has been held for 4 seconds or more, releasing the key engages the Record-Pause mode.

When the non-recorded section is detected, the tape is rewound to the point just before the non-recorded section and stops.
