Fetal arrhythmia
Obese patient
Transducer wrongly positioned

Very active fetus
Maternal movement
Insufficient gel
Transducer wrongly positioned
FHR less than 50 bpm
Recording MHR by mistake
Recording spurious periodic
signals when the transducer is not
applied to the patient
FHR exceeds 300 bpm
FHR is less than 50 bpm or
between 240 - 300 bpm
Wrong paper or dirty printhead
Bad paper feed or wrong paper
