Setup to Establish a TX Path Reference Level
Interconnect the Signal Generator

using three segments of N-Type
cable and two barrel connectors
In the Signal Generator:
Insert a 20 dB attenuator
Set the Center Frequency to the
desired value

The RFS will
be inserted here
In the Spectrum Analyzer:
Set the Center Frequency to the same value
as in the Signal Generator
Set the Span to 5 MHz
Set both the Resolution Bandwidth and the
Video Bandwidth to 100 kHz
Verify that the Sweep is set to "Auto"
Press the Amplitude button and rotate the
wheel until you can see the peak of the signal
Set the Marker to the peak of the signal
The reading in the Spectrum Analyzer
(approx –20 dBm) is your Reference Level
