• Integrated Single-ended SCSI-2 interface
• Reads and Writes DDS-1, DDS-2, and DDS-3 formats dependent on the mounted tape dimension:
• 60 meter tape - DDS-1 = 1.3 Gbytes
• 90 meter tape - DDS-1 = 2.0 Gbytes
• 120 meter tape - DDS-2 = 4.0 Gbytes With Data Compression enabled.
The above capacities will increase from 2 to 4 times the non-compressed capacities. The average
data compression factor is 2 to 1.
• 1 Mbyte Data Buffer
• Switch or program selectable on-board DCLZ data compression
Automatic Error correction and detection
• Downloadable firmware
• Asynchronous burst data transfer rate = 3.0 Mbytes/sec.
