Adjusting the handlebars
Adjusting the stem
6.3.3.1
CAUTION
!
Crash caused by loose stem
Incorrectly fastened screws may come loose due
to impact. The stem may no longer be firmly fixed
in its position as a result. This will cause a crash
with injuries.
Check the handlebars and the quick release
system are firmly in position after the first two
hours of riding.
6.3.3.2 Adjusting the height of the handlebars
CAUTION
!
Crash caused by incorrectly set clamping
force
Excessively high clamping force will damage the
quick release and cause it to lose its function.
Insufficient clamping force will cause a
detrimental transmission of force. This can cause
components to break. This will cause a crash with
injuries.
Never fasten a quick release using a tool (e.g.
hammer or pliers).
Only use the clamping lever with the specified
set clamping force.
Open the clamping lever.
Pull the locking lever on the stem up, and
simultaneously pivot the handlebars into the
desired position.
You feel the locking lever click into place.
Pull out the handlebars to the required height.
Lock the quick release.
