10.3.4 Step 3 – load measuring cycle text files
When using measuring cycles, the measuring cycle text files have to be loaded afterward.
• The file mc_text.com out of directory "hmi_adv" is loaded from the floppy disk or via V.24.
If you require languages other than the standard languages, please order the appropriate
HMI language versions.
10.3.5 Step 4 – load files for measurement result display
• The following files are loaded via V.24 or from the floppy disk out of directory "hmi_adv"
• After loading the files for the measurement result displays, check and adjust the entry for

• The following files are needed from the software supplied from subdirectory "hmi_adv":

It contains the measuring cycle text files in the five standard languages.
– MCRESULT.COM
– BMP_RESU.ARC
the text format in system file HMI MMC2\MBDDE.INI if necessary. The entry for indicating
the measurement result displays must be changed from
– MEASURE_CYCLES_RESULT=DOS
to
– MEASURE_CYCLES_RESULT=
(delete DOS!).
– hmi_adv\bmp_xxx.exe (displays for measuring cycle support, xxx stands for the
screen resolution)

hmi_adv\startup.com
– This file is not loaded into the control, but initially has to be loaded onto a PC. When
this file is started, it is unpacked automatically and the following archive is produced:
MZ_BMP01.ARC ... MZ_BMPxx.ARC
– These must be copied onto floppy disk and downloaded into the HMI or via V.24
(binary format). These archives contain the bitmaps for measuring cycles support.
– Load MCSUPP.COM, AEDITOR.COM, and STARTUP.COM from floppy disk or via
RS-232-C, then restart HMI.
