7 Troubleshooting
Alarm No.
Initial parameter error
37
An incorrect parameter was detected among the parameters received from the CNC at the power ON.
Investigation details
Check if the unit in which the alarm was detected is
1
servo axis or spindle.
Check the error parameters displayed on the NC
2
diagnosis screen.
Servo parameters: SV001 to SV065, SV082
Check the error parameters displayed on the NC
3
diagnosis screen.
Spindle parameters: SP001 to SP240
4
Check the alarm No. "34" items.
Alarm No.
NC-DRV communication: Protocol error 1
38
An error was detected in the communication frames received from the CNC.
Investigation details
1
Check the alarm No. "34" items.
Alarm No.
NC-DRV communication: Protocol error 2
39
An error was detected in the axis information data received from the CNC.
Investigation details
1
Check the alarm No. "34" items.
Alarm No.
Overcurrent
3A
Excessive current was detected in the motor drive current.
Investigation details
[1] Check whether vibration is occurring at the table
or spindle.
1
[2] Check if the vibration caused by the load
fluctuation is occurring.
Check the repeatability of the alarm at the rapid
traverse feed for the servo and at acceleration/
2
deceleration for the spindle.
(Note) Check the phenomenon caused by the load
fluctuation.
For the servo, perform the rapid traverse feed
repeatedly and check if the max. current value is
3
within the tolerable value.
For the spindle, check the load meter value at the
unloaded max. rotation speed.
Disconnect the power cable (U,V,W) from the
terminal block and the cannon plug from the motor.
4
Check the insulation of the cable and motor with a
tester.
Check the insulation between the motor power
5
cable and FG.
Check if there is any abnormality in the motor's
6
ambient environment.
(Ex. Ambient temperature, cutting water)
Investigation results
The alarm was detected in servo axis.
The alarm was detected in spindle.
Wrong parameters were set.
The electronic gears are overflowing.
The absolute position detection parameter is
valid when OSE104 and OSE105 are
connected. (Absolute position control cannot
be used.)
SV082/bitC to F are the same setting in one
unit.
SV082/bitC to F are not the same setting in
one unit.
Correct parameters were set.
The setting is wrong.
The set parameters are correct.
The set parameter value is different from that
of the machine specified encoder.

Vibration is occurring.
There is no vibration.
The alarm occurs.
The alarm does not occur.
The displayed value is high.
The displayed value is appropriate.
The resistance value of the power cable for
each phase is not " ∞ ".
The resistance value of the motor terminal
and unit (shaft) is 1MΩ or less.
The values below are met when measured
with a tester.
Cable: ∞
Motor terminal - unit:1MΩ or more
There is a ground fault at the power cable.
There is no problem.
Take remedies according to the causes of the abnormality in the ambient environment.

Check the investigation item No. 3.
Correct the parameter setting.
Set the value within the designated setting
range.
Set SV001, SV002 and SV018 so that they
meet the machine specifications.
In order to use the absolute position control
function, an absolute position option is
required.
Correct the setting of SV082/bit0 to B.
Correct to the same setting.
Check the investigation item No. 4.
