4-3 Viewfinder Screen Setup Menu Displays

4-1 Adjustments and Settings for Recording
When the VF DISP switch is set to MENU, the
OPERATION menu will be displayed on the
viewfinder screen. The OPERATION menu is
displayed one page at a time.
The OPERATION menu is used to select various
setting values, and to select items which will be
displayed on the viewfinder screen and how those
items will be displayed.
About the TOP menu
The TOP menu displays the overall organization of the
various menus.
To display the TOP menu screen, move the VF DISP
switch from OFF to MENU while pushing the MENU
SEL control.

The TOP menu contents vary based on the settings of
switches on the SG board inside the camera.

VF DISP switch
MENU SEL control
The TOP menu has the following sub-menus:
OPERATION menu
This menu contains items whose settings need to be
changed during normal operation by a camera
operator, according to the condition of the subject or
other conditions.
Ordinarily, when the VF DISP switch is set to MENU
this menu will be displayed.
PAINT menu
This menu contains items for when precise image
adjustment is being performed by observing the
camera's output waveforms using a device such as a
waveform monitor.
Setting up the camera for the items of this menu can be
performed using an external remote control panel or
master setup unit, but this menu itself is convenient
when the camera is used outdoors in a stand-alone
configuration. This menu is about the same as the
MSU-700 PAINT menu.
Other menus
The following menus contain items necessary only
when the camera is first put into operation or during
periodic maintenance.
Maintenance menu: Used for maintenance.
About the same as the MSU-700
MAINTENANCE menu.
File menu: Used to write and clear reference files,
OHB files, lens files, and Operator Preset files.
DIAG DISP menu: Displays self-diagnosis
information.
SYS CONFIG menu: Used in servicing the
camera.
