Connecting the Interface
Cable
1) Connect the cable to the USB port if a USB
cable is to be used, or to the parallel port if a
parallel interface cable is to be used. Be sure
also to connect the cable to the PC.
Use interface cables that comply with
specifications of the machine.
USB cable specifications: 5 m or
shorter.
Parallel interface cable specifications: 3
m or shorter (Compliant to IEEE1284,
for bi-directional communication)

Connecting the Modular Cable
(Only for the iR1270F/1570F
model)
1) Connect one end of the modular cable to the
terminal [L], and the other end to the socket of
the telephone.
If both telephone and fax are to be used, connect
the modular cable from the telephone (or
answering machine) to the [telephone] terminal.
