Final Steps
1.
CAUTION
Do not connect or disconnect a coaxial
cable during an electrical storm.
Remove the coaxial cable from the system
unit.
2. Remove all remaining cables attached to the
system unit, and coil and tape these cables to
the system unit.
3. If you have an expansion unit, remove all
remaining cables attached to it, and coil and
tape these cables to the expansion unit.
4. Follow the instructions below, for a short- or
long-distance move.
Short-Distance Move
For a short-distance move, you do not have to
pack the units in cartons.
By short-distance, we mean any distance that
does not involve trucking, for example, moving
from one office or floor to another.
We recommend that each unit be moved
separately.
Long-Distance Move
For a long-distance. move, you must pack the
units in secure cartons.
If you have saved the cartons and packing
material that your IBM 3270 Personal Computer
was shipped in, use them to pack your units.
