1.3.4 Check sensor operation

<Function>
This function is used to check whether the sensors are operating normally.
<Operation Procedure>
(1) In function number selection mode of maintenance mode, press the [to USB] key five
times. The Power LED and the to USB LED light.
(2) Press the [X] key.
(3) When the state of document detection sensor, document scanning position sensor, or
front cover sensor changes, LED status also changes as described below.
• Document detection sensor: Pressed ⇒ to Network Device2 LED ON
• Document scanning position sensor: Pressed ⇒ to Network Device3 LED ON
• Front cover sensor: Closed ⇒ to Network Device1 LED OFF
• Paper feed jam sensor:
(Duplex scanning speed 100 ipm model only)
• Eject jam sensor:
(Duplex scanning speed 100 ipm model only)
When the ON/OFF setting of all sensors above are changed, Power LED flashes.
(4) Press the [X] key. The machine returns to function number selection mode.

1.3.5 Acquire white level data and set CIS scan area

<Function>
This function is used to obtain the scanning compensation data and store it with the scan area
data in the EEPROM of the main PCB.
<Operation Procedure>
(1) Wipe the first and second side CIS glass four times in the same direction with a cleaning cloth.
(2) Open the front cover and set it on the gray tape of the first side CIS unit so that the white
part of the calibration sheet overlaps with it.

Pressed ⇒ to PC LED ON
Released ⇒ to PC LED OFF
