    Key Functions Earpiece lets you hear the caller and automated prompts. Signal Strength Indicator represents the signal strength by displaying bars. The more bars displayed, the better the signal strength. Display Screen displays all the information needed to operate your phone, such as the call status, the Contacts list, the date and time, and the signal and battery strength.

    Making and Answering Calls Making Calls Placing a call from your wireless phone is as easy as making a call from any landline phone. Enter the number, press and you’re on your way to clear calls. Make sure your phone is on. Enter a phone number from standby mode.

    Calling Emergency Numbers You can place calls to 911 (dial your phone is locked or your account is restricted. Note When you place an emergency call, your phone automatically enters Emergency mode. During an emergency call, press Speaker On or Speaker Off to route the phone's audio through the speaker or through the earpiece.

When you place an emergency 911 call, the GPS feature of your phone seeks information to calculate your approximate location.

Selecting a Text Input Mode Your phone provides convenient ways to enter words, letters, punctuation, and numbers whenever you are prompted to enter text (for example, when adding a Contacts entry or when using Sprint Mail and SMS Text Messaging).

You can save up to 10 special numbers in addition to your Contacts entries (the same number may be in both directories).
