Electrical installation Protective measures against electrical hazards Equipotential bonding on the mobile part Equipotential bonding on mobile systems ensures that in case of a fault, no contact voltages occur. You can implement equipotential bonding as follows: • Establish high-frequency equipotential bonding via the vehicle support frame (vehicle GND).
Page 21
Electrical installation Protective measures against electrical hazards Equipotential bonding Implement equipotential bonding as follows: • Connect a cable between the TPM12B mobile converter and the metallic vehicle frame (mounting plate) to establish low-impedance equipotential bonding as dis- played in the following illustration. 1595332107 M5 screw Cable lug...

Electrical installation Protective measures against electrical hazards Equipotential bonding for floor rails For metallic floor rails, high-frequency equipotential bonding must be implemented between the rails at least at the start and end of the track. For long tracks, implement equipotential bonding at least every 5 m. Use a fine-wire cable with a cable cross sec- tion of at least 10 mm .

Electrical installation Protective measures against electrical hazards ESD protection In order to ensure optimal protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD), measures must be taken for all places where non-conductive surfaces rub against one another to ensure that charges are dissipated. This is particularly important for mobile systems such as lifting gears, floor conveyor vehicles, and floor conveyor systems.
