CAM CHAIN ADJUSTMENT

10. Inspect:
-O-ring (Blind plug)
Damage-+ Replace.
11. Install:
-Spark plug
-Tappet covers
- Blind plugs
-Fuel tank
-Seat
Spark Plug:
17.5 Nm (1.75 m-kg, 12 ft-Ib)
Bolts (Tappet Covers):
10 Nm (1.0 m-kg, 7.2 ft-Ib)
Blind Plugs:
7 Nm (0.7 m-kg, 5.1 ft-Ib)
Bolt (Fuel Tank):
7 Nm (0.7 m-kg, 5.1 ft-Ib)
CAM CHAIN ADJUSTMENT
1. Remove:
-Blind plug (Upper and lower)
CD
2. Turn the crankshaft counterclockwise to align
the liT" mark
CD
on the rotor with the crank-
case cover mark

when the piston is at
TDe on the compression stroke.
3. Remove:
- Adjuster cap
