INSPECTION
1. Inspect:
-Carburetor body
- Fuel passage
Contamination~Clean
as indicated.
Carburetor cleaning steps:
-Wash carburetor in petroleum based solvent.
(Do not use any caustic carburetor cleaning
solution).
- Blowout all passages and jets with com-
pressed air.
2. Inspect:
-Floats
CD
Damage~
Replace.
- Gasket/ a-ring
Damage~
Replace.
3. Inspect:
- Float needle valve
CD
-Seat
@
-a-ring
@
Damage/Wear/ Contamination ~ Replace.
NOTE: _
Always replace the needle valve and valve seat
as a set.
4. Inspect:
-Throttle valve
Wear/ Damage~ Replace.
5. Check:
- Free movement
Stick ~ Replace.
Insert the throttle valve into the carburetor
body, arid check for free movement.
NOTE: _
Align the groove
®
of the throttle valve with the
projection
@
of the carburetor body.
