Tumble dryer

The tumble dryer must be switched off at the main switch (on site) before any cleaning or
maintenance work.
 Do not use a pressure washer or hose to clean the tumble dryer.
Otherwise, there is a risk of death due to electric shock.
Clean the tumble dryer casing, control panel and plastic parts with a mild cleaning agent
or with a soft, damp cloth only. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Abrasive cleaning agents must not be used to clean the tumble dryer.
The tumble dryer drum must be wiped clean with a soft, damp cloth after drying items
that have been starched.
Check the seal.
Check the latches on the drum door, fluff compartment and service panel.
Check the joint between the tumble dryer and heat-pump.
The air intake to the heat-pump and the ventilation openings are located at the back of
the machine and on the machine lid.
Under no circumstances should these vents be sealed or covered by blankets or towels.
Keep the area around the heat-pump dryer – in particular the air intake – clear of fluff.
Push the cover of the air intake vent upwards.
Remove the cover in a forward direction.
Clean the louvres using a brush or vacuum cleaner.
Then re-cover the air intake vent.
Miele Service must check the interior of the tumble dryer and the impellers in the ventila-
tion openings for fluff deposits once per year and clean the machine if necessary.
