An Error Occurs

When an error occurs in printing such as the printer is out of paper or paper is jammed, the Alarm lamp
flashes or ON lamp and Alarm lamp flash alternately. For Windows, a Support Code (error number) is
displayed on the computer screen shown as below.
Check the status of the Alarm lamp and the message, then take the appropriate action.
Support Code Corresponding to Number of Flashes of Alarm Lamp
Example of 2 times flashing:
(A) Flashes
(B) Goes off

Printer is out of paper or paper does not feed.
If the Paper lamp is also flashing:
Paper settings are different from those for the rear tray registered to the print-
er.
3 flashes
The cover is open.
Paper is jammed at the paper output tray or on the rear tray.
4 flashes
FINE cartridge is not installed properly, or FINE cartridge not compatible with
this printer is installed.
5 flashes
FINE cartridge is not installed.
FINE cartridge cannot be recognized.
A problem has occurred to FINE cartridge.
Appropriate ink cartridge is not installed.
8 flashes
Ink absorber is almost full.
