Warning notices -
Structure and meaning
Warning notices warn of dangers to the user or people
in the vicinity. Warning notices also indicate the con-
sequences of the hazard as well as preventive action.
Warning notices have the following structure:

Safety instructions
DANGER - Risk of electric shock from live
parts!
Improperly executed tasks on opened ener-
gized devices result in heart failure and
death.

Only authorized and trained Customer
Service technicians are allowed to work on
opened devices.

Observe the electrical engineering safety
regulations (e.g. DGUV Rule 3 in Germany).
¶
Prior to commissioning, perform safety
checks in accordance with national legisla-
tion (e.g. VDE 0701/0702 in Germany).
¶
All the corresponding legislation of the
country concerned must be observed.
2.2
Target group
Servicing is only to be performed by qualified and trai-
ned service personnel from Robert Bosch GmbH or or-
ganizations commissioned by Robert Bosch GmbH. No
warranty claims will be accepted if devices have been
opened or modified by non-authorized persons.
2.3
Configuring operation
Operation of the DCU 220 can be configured. The func-
tions of the programs cited below are described in the
operating manual DCU 220 (1 689 989 321) and in the
User Handbook (1 689 989 330):
