Power-Up Self-Test

a.
Hold down START key on 8500C/C+ and turn on power supply.
NOTE: This erases all memory in 8500C/C+.

Wait until Power-Up Self-Test display appears and release START key.

Amplitude, Frequency, and Phase Accuracy Tests

This test uses a signal generator to input a signal with an exact amplitude, frequency, and phase
relationship to the 8500C/C+. This input is also connected to the signal input of the spectrum analyzer
so that the signal level can be verified on the spectrum analyzer. The output measurements are then
compared to specifications.

Turn on spectrum analyzer and set up to view a 13.44 mVrms, 100 Hz signal. Use the
following analyzer settings.
