1. SAFELY RULES

- This tester is designed and tested in accordance with EN publication
61010-1 pollution degree 2 and installation category (Overvoltage
category) III 600V.
- This tester has been tested according to the following EC Directives :
- 89/336/EEC (EMC of Nov., 1992, Electromagnetic compatibility)
EN50081-1 & EN50082-1.
- 73/23/EEC (Product Safety Law of June 11, 1979, Low Voltage Directive
of February 19, 1973).
- This tester is designed for to be indoor use at temperature 5°C to 40°C and
altitude up to 2000m.
- This tester is designed for "TOUCH" testing only. Do not keep continuous
contact with the unit under test for over 10 seconds, especially to high
voltage.
- Test on known live circuits to familiarise yourself with the response from a
live cable.
- Do not use the tester if the tester or the test probes look damaged or if you
suspect that the tester is not operating properly.
- When using the probes, keep your fingers behind the finger guard on the
probes.
- Always ensure probes are dry and do not work with wet hands.
