The Format button in the front panel changes the display format in the cycle of 1080i, 720p, 480p, video1/2(480i), variable 1, variable 2, variable 3 and Auto DVI modes. In 1080i, 720p, 480p and video 1/2(480i) modes, all input signal formats are converted to the chosen display format.

Initializing the System About Initial Setup The DIRECTV ® High-Definition Receiver is capable of receiving three types of signals; ANT, CABLE and DIRECTV ® programming (if you are a DIRECTV function properly with your dish antenna. Select Dish Lets you select the correct dish type among three different types available; Round Dish for Satellite Network A only, Oval Dish for Satellite Networks A and B, or Oval Dish for Satellite Networks A, B, and C.

Azimuth is the side-to-side direction, while tilt is the circular rotation of the dish itself around the pointing axis.

You can select two distinct areas by Zip code to view the channels being broadcast from both areas.
