Anti-freezing Switch
Anti-freezing switch is used for detecting very low temperature. In normal condition, the switch is closed and
when the cold water outlet temperature is below 2°C, it will be open. When the temperature rises by 5°C or
more, it will return to its normal condition. Anti-freezing switch is installed on the evaporator.

Leakage Test
As described in the installation manual, the chiller must be charged with sufficient set amount of
refrigerant R134a. When the refrigerant pressure is below the initial setting, the leakage test must be
done. When the pressure within the chiller drops, use nitrogen for the leakage test. When repairing a
leaking part, you must use a good refrigeration practice. After the leaking part is repaired, the water
inside the chiller must be removed completely to form a vacuum condition.
u
Refrigerant Charge
Insert the coupling to the refrigerant charge port. To prevent the damage of the tube from freezing of
the residual moisture inside the evaporator, you must circulate the water in the evaporator and con-
denser, charge the set amount of refrigerant. For the amount of refrigerant to charge, refer to the
installation manual or PDB.
u
Oil Charge
Insert the coupling to the oil gas port. Check in the sight glass window on oil separator that more
than1/2 of oil is shown. Remove the coupling and insert the oil supply port cap. After supplying the
oil and operating the product, check with the naked eye whether the sight glass has more than 1/2
or oil. If the amount of oil is not 1/2 or above, supplement the oil.
