Service Adjustments

B-VOLTAGE SUPPLY CHECK
MAIN BOARD
HORIZONTAL WIDTH ADJUSTMENT
FOCUS ADJUSTMENT
(1) Receive the monochrome circular pattern.
(2) Set the brightness to normal and contrast to maximum.
(3) Adjust the focus control on the F.B.T. (T471) for well-
defined scanning lines.
B-VOLTAGE SUPPLY CHECK
(1) Connect DC meter to R103 (L631 side) and the ground.
(2) Tune the receiver to an active channel and
synchronized picture. Select DYNAMIC picture mode by
pressing the VSM (Video Status Memory) button on
the remote control .
(3) Voltage must measure 130 ± 1 volt DC.

FOCUS ADJUSTMENT
HORIZONTAL WIDTH ADJUSTMENT
(1) Tune receiver to an active channel.
(2) Adjust H-Width Control (VR462) for proper width.
(3) Select several other channels and check width.
HIGH VOLTAGE CHECK
Note: Grayscale and Horizontal Width Adjustment must be
completed before attempting High Voltage Check.
(1) Connect a high voltage probe to anode lead of the
picture tube.
(2) Receive the monochrome circular pattern.
(3) Set the brightness and contrast to maximum.
(4) The high voltage must measure 28 ± 1KV and less than
31KV at 0 beam current (Brightness and contrast
minimum setting).
If reading is not within range, check horizontal circuit.
NOTE:
If the picture tube is replaced, check the high voltage.
