The setup items you can adjust on each menu vary

SURR SET UP menu parameters
x EFFECT LEVEL _ _ _ % (Effect

Initial setting: 100%
Higher settings apply more surround effect.
You can adjust the level from 20 % to 120 % in
5 % steps.

Use the CUSTOMIZE menu and set "MENU
EXPAND" to "ON" to enable display and
setup as follows (page 67).

Initial setting: (3)
Lets you perform further adjustments for
Dolby Pro Logic II and IIx Music mode
decoding. You can set this parameter only
when A.F.D. mode is set to "PRO LOGIC II
MUSIC" or "PRO LOGIC IIx MUSIC" (page
91).
You can adjust the distribution of the center
channel signal, generated through the Dolby
Pro Logic II decoding, to the L/R speakers.

Lets you perform further adjustments for
Dolby Pro Logic II and IIx Music mode
decoding. You can set this parameter only
when A.F.D. mode is set to "PRO LOGIC II
MUSIC" or "PRO LOGIC IIx MUSIC" (page
91).
You can adjust the difference between the front
channels and the surround channels.
x PANORAMA MODE (Panorama
mode)
Lets you perform further adjustments for
Dolby Pro Logic II and IIx Music mode
decoding. You can set this parameter only
when A.F.D. mode is set to "PRO LOGIC II
MUSIC" or "PRO LOGIC IIx MUSIC" (page
91).
• ON
Lets you enjoy surround sound by spreading
the sound field of the front speakers to the left
and right of the listening position (panorama
mode).
• OFF
Panorama mode is not activated.
x SCREEN DEPTH (Screen depth)
This parameter is provided especially for
Cinema Studio EX modes (page 92).
Lets you create the sensation that the sound of
the front speakers comes from inside the
screen in your listening room, just like in
theatres.
• ON
Lets you create the sensation that the sound
comes from a very large screen with a great
amount of screen depth.
• OFF
This function is not activated.
