You can configure SINEC L2 with redundancy for a safety-related connec-
tion between two or more failsafe programmable controllers. Redundant op-
eration is not subject to any restrictions.
Shown in Figure 5-5 is the configuration for SINEC L2 in a redundant con-
figuration for communication using two failsafe programmable controllers.
For SINEC L2 with redundancy, you use two separate SINEC L2 LANs. On
each SINEC L2, you use the same station numbers for the same failsafe pro-
grammable controllers.
