Hotel-specific functions
The functions described below are used primarily in hotels:
SOS
Alarm function
The alarm function can be triggered via pushbutton. When pressed, a signal is sent to the
management station. The alarm can be visualized on a suitable display unit (touch panel or
webbrowser) or on a panel with signal lamp. The operating elements provided are rockers
with "Bell" symbol and pull cords.
MUR
Make up room
The MUR function is activated via pushbutton. When pressed, a signal is sent to the man-
agement station. The signal can be displayed on a suitable display unit (touch panel or
webbrowser) or can be indicated by a signal lamp on a panel.
DND
Do not disturb
The DND function is triggered via pushbutton. Indication is by signal lamp, inside and outside
the room.
Minibar
Monitoring of minibar
Monitoring of the minibar can be implemented by a window contact fitted to the door of the
minibar and a pushbutton interface. When the minibar door is opened, a signal is sent to the
management station and logged on the UP 588 touch panel as a trend. When using Synco
700 devices (RMB795B, RMS705B), opening the door can either be counted or logged as an
event. In each case, 4 channels available.

Integration of an OPC server with suitable, commercially available software facilitates the
connection from the KNX bus to the Micros® Fidelio/Opera hotel management system.
This makes it possible to automatically switch the hotel room's operating mode when guests
check in or out, or based on the booking plan.

signal is forwarded to the ventilation controller (RMU7x0B) via the KNX bus.
On VAV applications, the signal is also fed to the room thermostat or the VAV controllers,
which ensure that the VAV dampers will be correctly closed or opened.
