1FA5 Jam code due to wear of the roller in the signature delivery
assembly(Perfect Binder-C1)
[Symptom/Question]
1FA5 jam may occur during booklet printing using Perfect Binder-C1 that has been used over time.
- 1FA5: Different media length Jam
[Cause]
The above symptom occurs when the roller [2] touching the signature delivery roller [1] in the signature delivery assembly wears
out causing the paper feeding force to be insufficient. The photo [A] below shows the roller where the center area [a] is worn.
[Remedy/Answer]
When the above symptom occurs, check if the rollers in 2 locations are worn.
If they are worn, prepare the 2 new rollers ( 4S3-6111) and replace the old ones according to "Perfect Binder-C1 Service Manual
> 4 Parts Replacement and Cleaning > Main Units > Removing the Signature Delivery Assembly".
If they are not worn, look for other cause.
