    Managing schedules and events (Date Book) Date Book lets you quickly and easily schedule appointments or any activity associated with a date or a date and time. A record in Date Book is called an “event.” Scheduling an event Scheduling an event for the current date Press the Date Book Date Book starts up.

If the event is one hour long, skip to Step 7. If the event is longer or shorter than one hour, tap the time of the event to open the Set Time dialog box.

This view lets you quickly review your appointments and available time slots. In addition, the graphical display helps you spot overlaps and conflicts in your schedule.

To spot event conflicts An event conflict (time overlap) appears in the Week view as overlapping time bars and in the Day view as overlapping brackets to the left of the conflicting times.

    Managing expenses (Expense) You can use Expense for many disbursement purposes such as recording expenditures for business trips and personal expenses. A record in Expense is called an “item.” Recording a new Expense item Expense allows you to record the date, Expense type, and the amount you spent.

The item you entered in Step 4 is saved when you select an Expense Type. Note If you do not select an Expense type, the entered data will not be saved. Using the Application Launcher This section explains how to switch between applications, how to change application settings so they are customized to your work methods, and how to categorize applications so you view them in related groups.
