Adjusting the copy code (ID6)

When recording with analog connection (with a
microphone or from the LINE IN jack), or when
recording digital input in the IEC958 format, you can
adjust the copy code (ID6). The factory preset of ID6 is
"00".

Press CLOCK/SET for 2
seconds or longer. "CLOCK"
will appear in the display.

Press RESET • + repeatedly
and select "ID6 SET".

Press CLOCK/SET while "ID 6
SET" is displayed.

Press RESET • + or COUNTER • – repeatedly and
select the copy code you want to give to this
recording.
ID6 00 : Digital duplication permitted an unlimited
number of times
ID6 10 : Cannot be copied digitally
ID6 11 : Can be copied digitally only once

Press CLOCK/SET.
The display returns to the clock.
