    Great Plains parts. Always use the serial and model number when ordering parts from your Great Plains dealer. The serial number plate is located on the right end of the rear face of the main tool bar.

    Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. Preparation and Setup This section helps you prepare your tractor and YP625TD and YP925TD Planter for use, and covers tasks that need to be done seasonally, or when the tractor/Planter configuration changes. Before using the Planter in the field, you must hitch it to a suitable tractor, inspect systems and level the Planter.

    Always operate farm machinery with safety in mind. Pre-Start Checklist Perform the following steps before transporting the YP625TD & YP925TD Planter to the field. Carefully read “Important Safety Information” on High Pressure Fluid Hazard: page 1. Relieve pressure and shut down tractor before connecting, disconnecting or checking hydraulic lines.

A tractor with insufficient ballast has insufficient traction at the front wheels, causing loss of control, leading to a serious road accident, injury or death.
