JPEG image files must conform to the DCF image file format. (DCF “Design rule for Camera File system”: Image standards for digital cameras regulated by Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA)).

    Inserting batteries into the remote You can control the system using the supplied remote. Insert two R6 (size AA) batteries by matching the 3 and # ends on the batteries to the markings inside the compartment. To use the remote, point it at the remote sensor on the control unit.

    Step 1: Positioning the Speakers For the best possible surround sound, all the speakers other than the subwoofer should be placed at the same distance from the listening position (1). It is recommended that the subwoofer should be placed (2). Place speakers and subwoofer as illustrated below.

  • Page 14 Note on handling the subwoofer • Do not place your hand into the slit of the subwoofer when lifting it. The speaker driver may be damaged. When lifting, hold the bottom of the subwoofer. • Do not hold the EZW-T100 slot when lifting the subwoofer.

    Install the speakers on a vertical and flat wall where reinforcement is applied. • Sony is not responsible for accident or damage caused by improper installation, insufficient wall strength or improper screw installation, natural calamity, etc.
  • Page 16 Remove the rear cap using the wrench (supplied), and remove the speaker pedestal using a screwdriver (+) (not supplied). Wrench (supplied) Rear cap Push A with the supplied wrench (1), and then remove the speaker cords (2). When the lever is down, the speaker cords are locked.
  • Page 17 Reconnect the detached speaker cords, matching 3/# to the appropriate speaker terminals (1), and then push the lever down completely (2). • If it is difficult to push the lever down, use the wrench (supplied). Reattach the rear cap using the wrench (supplied). Secure the speaker to the bracket with the screw in Step 3 using hole 4.

    2 Connecting the Speakers Connect surround speakers to S-AIR surround amplifier (wireless connection) Insert the speaker connector of the front and center speakers into the FRONT L, FRONT R, and CENTER jacks on the bottom of the subwoofer respectively, and insert the speaker connector of the surround speakers into the SPEAKER L and SPEAKER R jacks on the rear of the surround amplifier respectively.

  • Page 25 3 Inserting the wireless transmitter/transceiver You can transmit sound from the S-AIR main unit to an S-AIR product, such as a surround amplifier or S-AIR receiver. An S-AIR product is a component that is compatible with the S-AIR function. To use the S-AIR function, you need to insert the wireless transmitter/transceiver into the subwoofer, surround amplifier and S-AIR receiver.

    5 Connecting the other components You can enjoy the connected component using the speakers of the system.     Step 3: Setting up the Wireless System To use the wireless system, you need to set up the surround amplifier. Before setting, make sure that the wireless transmitter and transceiver are inserted into the subwoofer and the surround amplifier correctly (page 25). This wireless system is called “S-AIR”.

    Step 4: Performing the Quick Setup Follow the steps below to make the basic adjustments for using the system. Note • When you connect the system and the TV with the component video cord (not supplied) or HDMI cable (not supplied), you need to set the type of video output for matching your TV.

    Changing the input level of the sound from connected components Distortion may occur when you listen to a component connected to the TV (AUDIO IN) jacks on the rear of the control unit. This is not a malfunction and will depend on the component connected. To prevent distortion, reduce the input level on the control unit.

    Resuming Playback from the Point Where You Stopped the Disc (Resume Play) When you stop the disc, the system remembers the point where you pressed x and “Resume” appears in the front panel display. As long as you do not remove the disc, Resume Play will work even if the system is set to standby mode by pressing "/1.
