Block mode summary
The block mode summary displays the active mode for all resource and transducer blocks,
and allows the user to change modes of those blocks individually, or collectively.

The units for length, volume, temperature, and level rates are selectable. All configuration
parameters and transmitter variables will be expressed in these units.

Security

Write protection

The Rosemount 5408 with F
software write protection. Locking the transmitter will prevent configuration changes until
it is unlocked again.
Software write protection
The transmitter can be software write protected to prevent unauthorized configuration
changes.
Hardware write protection
Contact your local Emerson representative for instructions on how to enable the hardware
write protection.

Device tag
Identifier of up to 32 characters for the transmitter used by host system. The tag is
typically a reference number, location, or duty description.
