Removing the Tub Ring, Impeller, and Basket (continued)
Removing the Tub Ring
NOTE: Due to the increase in size and depth of the tub ring,
the working space between the tub ring and side panel is very
limited.
1. Disconnect recirculation hose from tub ring.
2. Locate the six (6) tub ring clips illustrated in Figure 4.
Unclip each clip with a "stubby" flat blade screwdriver.
3. Lift-up the left-rear suspension rod and disconnect it from
the rear brace (see Figure 5). This will allow more room to
access the two clips located on both sides of the bleach
well. Remove tub ring from washer.

Removing the Impeller
1. Insert the blade from a small screwdriver into the slot in
the impeller cap, then pry the cap up and remove it (see
Figure 6).
2. Remove the 7/16" hex-head bolt from the impeller, then lift
and remove the impeller from the basket (see Figure 7).

REASSEMBLY NOTE: Any time the impeller
bolt is removed, Loctite® adhesive
(Threadlocker Blue 242® or similar adhesive)
must be reapplied, otherwise the bolt will
eventually work itself loose resulting in a
second call.
