• If the AF illuminator light does not reach the
subject sufficiently or the subject has weak
contrast, focus will not be achieved. (An
approximate distance of 0.3 m to 2.3 m (11 7/8
inches to 7 feet 6 1/2 inches) is recommended.)
• Focus is achieved as long as AF illuminator
light reaches the subject, even if the light is
slightly off the center of the subject.
• When the focus preset distance is set (page 46),
the AF illuminator does not function.
• The AF illuminator emits very bright light.
Although there are no problems with safety,
directly looking into the AF illuminator at close
range is not recommended.
• When 9 (Focus) is set to [Multi AF] or
[Center AF], the AF range finder is not
displayed.
