Troubleshooting
If you experience trouble with your camera,
try the following solutions.
1 First check the items on the tables below.
If code displays "C:ss:ss"
appear on the LCD screen, the
self-diagnostics display function
is working (page 108).
Battery pack and power
Symptom
You cannot charge the
battery pack.
The battery remaining
indicator is incorrect, or
sufficient battery
remaining indicator is
displayed but the power
runs out soon.
The battery life is short.
The
/CHG lamp flashes
when charging a battery
pack.

2 Should your camera still not work
properly, press the RESET button on the
bottom of the camera, then turn on the
power again. (All the settings including
date and time are cleared.)

Cause
• The camera is turned on.
• You have used the camera for a long time in an
extremely hot or an extremely cold location.
• The battery pack is dead (page 121).
• The battery pack is discharged.
• A deviation has occurred in the remaining
battery time.
• You are shooting/viewing images in an
extremely cold location.
• The battery pack is not charged enough.
• The battery pack is dead (page 121).
• The battery pack has malfunctioned.
3 Should your camera still not work
properly, consult your Sony dealer or
local authorized Sony service facility.
Solution
p Turn the camera off (page 17).
p Replace the battery pack with a new one.
p Install a charged battery pack (page 13).
p Fully charge the battery pack (page 14).
p Fully charge the battery pack (page 13).
p Replace the battery pack with a new one.
p Contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service
facility.
