Spot metering (
)
Light is measured only for the specific
region where the subject is located. This lets
you adjust the exposure to the subject even
when the subject is backlit or there is strong
contrast between the subject and the
background.
Position the spot metering cross hair on one
point of the subject you want to shoot.
• When using center weighted metering or
spot metering, to focus on the same spot
as used for metering, we recommend
using the center weighted AF range
finder frame (page 48).
