Bad vibration in air inlet duct reasons

1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
March 22, 2025

Bad vibration in the air inlet duct of an Ingersoll-Rand CENTAC can be caused by:

1. Induced vibration from the driver – The driver may be causing excessive vibration that affects the air inlet duct.
2. Unbalanced motor rotor – An imbalance in the motor rotor can generate vibrations that transfer to the duct system.

To correct these issues, the motor rotor should be balanced, and the source of the induced vibration from the driver should be addressed.
