    Switching On the TV and Automatically Tuning The first time you switch on your TV, a sequence of menu screens appear on the TV enabling you to: 1) choose the language of the menu screen 2) Choose the country in which you are going to operate the TV, 3) adjust the picture slant, 4) check how to connect optional equipment to your TV, 5) search and store all available channels (TV Broadcast) and 6) change the order in which the channels (TV Broadcast) appear on the screen.

    PAP (PICTURE AND PICTURE) PAP divides the screen into two to watch two pictures in format 4:3 simultaneously. Switching PAP on and off Press to display PAP. One of the screens will be framed to indicate that this is the active screen. It means that when you want to select the PAP source, you will be doing it in the active screen.

    Teletext Teletext is an information service transmitted by most TV stations. The index page of the teletext service (usually page 100) gives you information on how to use the service. To operate teletext, use the remote control buttons as indicated below. Teletext errors may occur if you use a channel (TV Broadcast) with a weak signal.

    NexTView* *(depending on availability of service). NexTView is an on-screen electronic programme guide, providing you with programme information for different broadcasters. When looking for information you can search by theme (sports, art, etc...) or date.     Learning functions from other Remote Controls To eliminate the amount of remote controls you need, this remote control has a learning feature. Once set up as explained below, it can be used in place of your other remote controls. It is recommended that you make a note of what each button has been taught (you can use the table provided with the remote control).

    Einschalten des Fernsehgeräts und automatische Sendersuche Wenn Sie das Fernsehgerät zum ersten Mal einschalten, erscheinen einige Menüs, mit denen Sie folgende Einstellungen vornehmen können: 1) die Menüsprache auswählen, 2) das Land auswählen, in dem Sie das Gerät einsetzen, 3) Einstellen der Bildlage, 4) sich informieren, wie Zusatzgeräte an das Fernsehgerät angeschlossen werden, 5) alle vorhandenen Kanäle (Fernsehsender) suchen und speichern, 6) die Reihenfolge des Erscheinens der Kanäle (Fernsehsender) auf dem Bildschirm ändern.

    Anschließen von Audiogeräten an das Fernsehgerät Wenn Sie das Tonsignal des Fernsehgeräts über Ihre HiFi-Anlage wiedergeben möchten, schließen Sie die HiFi-Anlage an die Ausgänge D des Fernsehgeräts an. Rufen Sie danach im Menüsystem das Menü „Ton-Einstellungen” auf und setzen Sie die Option „TV Lautsprecher” auf die Einstellung „Einmalig aus” oder auf „Dauernd aus” (siehe Seite 13). Die Lautstärke der externen Lautsprecher kann durch die Lautstärketasten der Fernbedienung geändert werden.

Nachdem sie wie im Folgenden beschrieben eingestellt wurde, kann Sie an Stelle anderer Fernbedienungen verwendet werden. Es wird empfohlen, die übernommenen Funktionen für die einzelnen Tasten schriftlich festzuhalten (Sie können dazu die Tabelle, die der Fernbedienung beiliegt, verwenden).
