Using a high flash-point solvent, clean off any oil or
dirt that may be on the cran kshaft taper and torsion
damper tapered hole.
lnstall the thrust washer, starter clutch gear, thrust
washer, and torsion damper while turning it counter-
sure to place the chamfered side of the inner
thrust washer toward the inside so that the washer will
fit on the crankshaft.
