WAP Browser

With WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) it is possible to access a
variety of information such as news or weather reports from around
the world including mobile internet sites. With this phone you can
access various HTML or WML internet sites.
Choose WAP from the main menu using the Jog Dial or simply press
the Centre Key from standby mode once you have completed the
WAP setup in Settings. It is necessary to register with a Network
Operator/Service Provider to use this telephone as a browser. In some
cases registration has already been completed. Check with your
Network Operator/Service Provider in advance to confirm whether
your subscription allows access to WAP services and whether it is
possible to access WAP when roaming.

• As a safety measure, a Security Code may be necessary to use your browser.
Use the code that is set as your Security Code (see page 41).
• Internet access is limited to the sites providing HTML or WML content.
WAP (the Wireless Application Protocol created for Internet service via
mobile phone) is used to access a WML site.
• You cannot make phone calls while accessing the mobile Internet.
Getting Started
In order to use WAP, you will need to make some settings using
parameters specified by your Network Operator/Service Provider.
For your reference, sample parameters are provided and
underlined however you will need the specific parameters from
your Network Operator/Service Provider in order to complete
the setup. You may be able to obtain the parameters from the web
page of your Network Operator/Service Provider.
