Setting the clock to
stamp the recorded
time
To stamp the date and time on the MD
when you record, you first need to set the
clock.
./>
xSTOP
CLOCK SET
(bottom)
NPLAY

Press CLOCK SET at the button of
the recorder.
Use a pointed object.
The digits of the year flash.

Change the current year by pressing
. or >.
To change the digits rapidly, keep
pressing . or >.

Press NPLAY to enter the year.
The digit of the month flashes.

Repeat step 2 and 3 to enter the
current month, date, hour, and
minute.
When you press NPLAY to enter
the minute, the clock starts operating.
If you make a mistake while
setting the clock
Press xSTOP, and set the clock again
from step 1. You can skip a step by
pressing NPLAY.
To display the current time
When the recorder is not operating or
while recording, press DISPLAY
repeatedly until the current time appears
in the display.
To display the time in the 24-
hour system
While setting the clock, press XPAUSE.
To display the time in the 12-hour system,
press XPAUSE again.

You can also use the SPEED CONTROL dial to
set the clock. Turn the dial instead of ./>
in step 2, and press the dial instead of NPLAY
in step 3.
Notes
• Make sure the time is correctly set if you want
the time stamp to be accurately recorded for
an important recording.
• Under normal conditions, the clock may vary
by about plus or minus 2 minutes per month.
