    Insert two R6 (size AA) batteries by matching the + and – on the batteries. When using the remote, point it at the remote sensor g on the player. You can control Sony TVs with the g mark using the supplied remote See page 26.

  • Page 7 Setting the VOLTAGE SELECTOR Check that the VOLTAGE SELECTOR on the rear panel of the player is set to the local power line voltage. If not, set the selector to the correct position using a screwdriver before connecting the AC power cord to a wall outlet.

    Turn on the TV and select the video input so that you can view the pictures from this player. When using an amplifier Turn on the amplifier and select the CD player position so that you can listen to the sound from this player. Press 1/u to turn on the player.

    When “RESUME” appears in To stop playback the front panel display You can resume playback from the point you stopped the VIDEO CD (Resume Play, see page 16). The player enters standby mode automatically (Sleep function) When 20 minutes elapse after the player stops, it enters standby mode.

Reserving the next tracks to play While playing a disc, you can reserve up to 8 tracks to play in any order so that you can enjoy non-stop karaoke play.

    Locating a Specific Scene or Track You can quickly locate any scene or track while playing a disc using the =/+ (AMS: Automatic Music Sensor) buttons or number buttons. Note that while playing a VIDEO CD with PBC functions, this function is available only during playback without PBC functions (PBC OFF, page 27).

    Locating a Scene or Track You Want Locating a Particular Point in a Scene or Track Z You can also locate a particular point in a scene or track while playing a disc. During PBC Playback (page 27), this function is available only while playing moving pictures.

    Locating by Observing Several Scenes at One Time (Digest Play) Z This function is available only when the MODE selector is set to NORMAL and the disc tray is closed. You can locate the disc or scene you want by observing several still pictures at one time on the TV screen.
