    Monitoring the Recorded Sound As this unit has three separate heads for recording, playback and erasure, you can check the quality of a recorded sound by comparing it with the input source signal. To listen to the input source signal, press the MONITOR button to turn on the SOURCE indicator.

    The following trouble checks will help you correct the most common problems encountered with your tape deck. Should any problems persist after you have made these checks, consult your nearest Sony dealer. Function Buttons and Tape Transport Problems Symptom The function buttons do not work.
