Connect them to the PHONES
connector. Use PHONE LEVEL
to adjust the volume.

Turn on the amplifier and set the source selector to the position
for DAT.

Press POWER.
Make sure that the KEY PROTECT switch is set to OFF (PCM-
R700 only) (see page 28).

Press OPEN/CLOSE 6 and insert a cassette.

Insert the cassette
until it clicks.

Press PLAY (.
The deck starts playing. Adjust the volume on the amplifier.
