This technique should prevent mutual interference between readers. The reader changes its
transmission channel in a random or programmed sequence (FHSS). With 16 available
channels that can be used simultaneously at up to 2000 mW (ERP) and with 20 channels
that can be used simultaneously at up to 100 mW, the probability of two readers operating
on the same frequency is reduced.
