Wireless Flash Range

The wireless flash uses a light signal from the built-in flash as a trigger to operate
the off-camera flash unit. Follow the points below when positioning the camera,
flash, and subject.
• Photograph in dark locations indoors.
• If you rotate the flashtube using the bounce-flash function (page 28) so that the
wireless control-signal receiver points toward the camera, it will be easier for the
flash to receive signals from the camera.
• Place the off-camera flash within the gray area in the following diagram.
