To enable Interleaved 2 of 5:

Barcode length parity – even:
validates and
character:
2a
Validate and Transmit→
Barcode length
validates but doesn't transmit check
character:
2b
Validate, but don't Transmit →
When setting up the Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode, perform step one, followed by either 2a or 2b.
Perform step 2a for Interleaved 2 of 5 barcodes with even parity.
Perform step 2b for Interleaved 2 of 5 barcodes with odd parity.
