To remove a frozen auger pulley on a Snapper SX5200R or SX5200E for belt replacement:
1. Stop the engine, remove the key, and disconnect the spark plug wire. 2. Remove the belt cover. 3. Loosen or remove the auger pulley. Note: The pulley has left-hand threads, so turn it clockwise to loosen. 4. If the pulley is frozen and difficult to remove, apply penetrating oil and gently tap with a soft mallet to loosen. 5. Once loose, push the spring-tensioned idler pulley down and remove the belt.
Always ensure the engine is off and cannot start during this process.
