There are settings for normal drying and for delicates, indicated by the letters S and D respectively. Any of the three settings (Figure 2A) indicates the end of the washing pro- gramme. Temperature selection control This enables you to select what temperatu- re you want to wash at.

Cleaning out your washing machine before using it So that you can clear out the remains of any lubrication materials and test water from the inside of the washing machine, it is recommendable to wash it out first before you use it for washing any clothing. The procedure for that is as follows.

Special stains Felt-tip and ball-tip pens: rub it with a cloth soaked in alcohol. Candle wax: cover the stain with blotting paper and iron over it at a temperature sui- table for the cloth. Repeat the operation if necessary. Resin, grease and skin cream: clean it with a petroleum-based stain remover and then wash the garment.
